About the role
We are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Procurement Manager to join our global Procurement team but with location in Romania, with a focus on Balance of Plant (BoP) and grid infrastructure.
This is a key role within our expanding international organization, responsible for leading procurement across civil and electrical works, main transformers (MT), and other critical equipment for our onshore wind, energy storage, and solar projects worldwide. In this role, you will own end-to-end procurement processesses, from strategy development through tendering to contract execution. You will collaborate closely with technical, commercial, legal, and construction teams to ensure competitive, high-quality, and risk-optimized outcomes across our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement processes for BoP, MT, key equipment, and O&M contracts, including RFQs, tender evaluations, negotiations, and contract finalization
- Coordinate procurement activities across interfaces with WTG, BESS, PV EPC, and other project scopes
- Drive sourcing strategies and supplier selection within your category
- Monitor supplier performance, cost developments, and global market trends
- Partner with internal stakeholders on budgeting, technical specifications, construction planning, and risk management
- Manage post-contract activities, including claims, insurance matters, and supplier performance reviews
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement tools, templates, and best practices
Your Profile
We are looking for a proactive and pragmatic professional with strong interpersonal skills, someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and takes ownership from day one.
You bring:
- Proven experience in procurement or strategic sourcing within renewable energy, BoP, grid infrastructure, civil engineering, or comparable sectors
- Strong commercial and contractual expertise (e.g. FIDIC, Orgalim)
- Solid understanding of civil and electrical works, wind, solar PV, or energy storage systems
- Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- A collaborative, cross-functional mindset with experience working in international environments
- High level of structure, accountability, and problem-solving ability
- Fluent English; Romanian is a strong advantage
- Relevant academic background in engineering, business, or a related field
Location & Travel
This role is based in Bucharest, Romania, with occasional travel within Europe.
