At OX2, we accelerate the transition to renewable energy by developing, constructing and managing large-scale renewable energy projects across Europe and beyond. We are now looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager (CPM) to lead the successful execution of renewable energy projects from Financial Close through commissioning and final handover.

This role is ideal for a hands-on project leader who thrives in complex construction environments, takes ownership of project delivery, and is passionate about driving renewable energy projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the role

As Construction Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the construction and delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects, including:

• Onshore Wind
• Solar PV
• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Future Offshore Wind projects

You will lead projects through the realization, construction, commissioning, and warranty phases, working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, customers, authorities, and local communities.

The role involves regular travel to project sites and may include assignments in countries outside your home market.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Leadership

• Lead the execution of renewable energy projects from Financial Close to Commercial Operation Date (COD) and final acceptance.
• Take full ownership of project delivery, including health & safety, budget, schedule, quality, and stakeholder management.
• Build, lead, and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with OX2 policies, standards, governance, and contractual commitments.

Construction Planning & Execution

• Develop and maintain construction schedules and project execution plans.
• Manage construction CAPEX, forecasts, contingencies, and change management.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure constructability reviews are conducted and incorporated into project planning.
• Coordinate contract interfaces and manage dependencies between contractors and suppliers.

Contractor & Stakeholder Management

• Support procurement and commercial negotiations with major contractors and suppliers.
• Act as OX2's contract representative throughout construction.
• Manage relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, landowners, local stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Facilitate regular project meetings and reporting both internally and externally.

Health, Safety, Sustainability & Quality

• Champion a strong HSSE culture across all project activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, permit requirements, contractual obligations, and OX2 standards.
• Drive quality assurance activities, inspections, and acceptance processes.
• Monitor project performance and proactively address potential issues.

Commissioning & Handover

• Oversee project commissioning and successful transition to operations.
• Manage punch list closure and warranty obligations.
• Coordinate closely with Operations and Asset Management teams.
• Close out projects, including financial reconciliation and final project documentation.

What We're Looking For

Experience

• Extensive experience managing large-scale construction projects within renewable energy, infrastructure, power generation, or similar industries.
• Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Experience managing EPC contractors, consultants, and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle management from development through construction and handover.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong project and construction management expertise.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial and contractual understanding.
• Experience with risk management, budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.
• Technical understanding of wind, solar, BESS, civil works, electrical works, and balance of plant construction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Professional project management certification is considered an advantage.
• Fluent in English.
• Fluency in the local language of the hiring country is preferred.
• Strong MS Office skills.
