JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Finance Manager is accountable for the full finance function in Australia including supporting the Asset Management team, acting as a strategic partner to the Country Manager/VP and as the primary interface to Group Finance in Stockholm. The role ensures strong financial governance and compliance with Group policies and procedures, high-quality reporting, and effective support for decision-making across the Australian business and project portfolio.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 1. Financial Leadership & Governance

Overall accountability for finance processes including P2P, O2C and R2R across all Australian entities and project companies.

Ensure compliance with Group policies, accounting standards, and tax regulations.

  • 2. Business Partnering & Strategy

Act as a strategic advisor to the Country Manager / VP and leadership team.

Support commercial and investment decisions through financial analysis.

  • 3. Planning & Performance Management

Own annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term business planning

Monitor financial performance and drive corrective actions where required

  • 4. Portfolio & Project Oversight

Oversee financial performance across the project lifecycle (development to operations)

Provide guidance on project economics, capital allocation, and risk

Ensure robust portfolio reporting of OPEX and CAPEX

  • 5. Reporting & Stakeholder Management

Deliver high-quality financial reporting to Group Finance and investors

Lead interactions with external auditors and key financial stakeholders

Ensure timely delivery of statutory reports and filings

  • 6. Leadership & Team Management

Lead and develop the Australian finance team, including controllers and outsourced providers

Establish scalable processes and drive continuous improvement across the function

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA/CPA or equivalent preferred
  • 10–15+ years of relevant experience, including leadership roles
  • Strong experience in financial planning, reporting, and governance
  • Experience in energy/infrastructure sectors is necessary, preferably in renewable energy
  • Proven ability to act as a strategic business partner
