About the Position

 We are not stopping at accelerating access to renewable energy. We also strive to, by 2030, develop solar and wind farms with a net positive impact on biodiversity and reducing GHG emissions from our business.

As Climate and Nature Project Manager, you will play a central role in driving OX2’s environmental ambitions forward. You will report to the Chief Sustainability and Communications Officer and collaborate closely with internal functions, departments, and regional teams across the company. Your main responsibility is to oversee and support the implementation of environmental initiatives, processes, and strategic frameworks that reinforce OX2’s sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

Environmental Management & Implementation

  • Develop and implement practical tools, initiatives, and processes to reduce environmental impacts across OX2’s operations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for environmental topics within OX2’s Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS).
  • Lead the annual update of environmental steering documents and represent environmental work during external audits (e.g., ISO 14001).

 

Climate & Biodiversity

  • Support the execution of OX2’s biodiversity strategy and decarbonization plan.
  • Oversee corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) emission calculations, including project-level assessments.
  • Monitor and apply updates to relevant GHG accounting and reporting standards and frameworks.
  • Stay informed on developments related to quantifying and reporting biodiversity impacts.

 

Data, Reporting & Risk Management

  • Manage audit assurance and reporting of OX2’s environmental footprint,
  • Identify areas of improvement, set environmental targets, and monitor KPI performance.
  • Provide expert technical advice to internal stakeholders to support delivery of OX2’s environmental objectives.
  • Assess climate- and nature-related risks and opportunities in accordance with evolving regulatory and voluntary frameworks.

Qualifications

  • BSc/M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with environmental topics, such as climate and biodiversity.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability reporting, including data collection, analysis, and monitoring.
  • Experience with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
  • Documentet hands-on experience calculating greenhouse gas emissions and working with climate targets in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (Knowledge of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a must.
  • Experience assessing climate- and nature-related risks and opportunities. (Familiarity with frameworks such as TCFD and TNFD is a merit.)
  • Experience with financial consolidation systems (e.g., OneStream) is an advantage.
  • Excellent interdisciplinary collaboration and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluency in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken is a must.
