Backed by EQT and with a rapidly growing operational portfolio, we are now strengthening our Treasury function with a newly created role: Credit & Insurance Manager.
This is a unique opportunity to build and own OX2's framework for managing counterparty credit risk and insurance across an expanding international portfolio of renewable energy projects and operating assets.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Treasury, the Credit & Insurance Manager will serve as OX2's centre of excellence for financial risk transfer, ensuring that credit exposures and insurable risks are identified, assessed and appropriately mitigated across the business.
You will act as the primary interface between Finance and external insurers, brokers, lenders and key counterparties, while collaborating closely with Project Finance, Structuring & Tax, Legal and Development teams. The role spans the full project lifecycle, from project development and construction through to operations.
As this is a newly established function, you will have a significant opportunity to shape frameworks, processes and governance from the ground up.
Key responsibilities
Insurance

Own and manage OX2's group-wide insurance programme across all markets

Lead insurance placements, renewals, broker relationships and claims management processes

Ensure appropriate insurance coverage throughout development, construction and operational phases

Manage construction all-risk, property damage, business interruption, liability, D&O and professional indemnity programmes

Ensure compliance with lender insurance requirements and act as the primary point of contact for lender insurance advisors

Evaluate and recommend emerging risk transfer solutions, including weather and energy yield insurance products

Coordinate claims processes in close collaboration with Legal and operational stakeholders
Credit Risk

Assess and monitor the creditworthiness of key counterparties, including PPA offtakers, EPC contractors, O&M providers and financial institutions

Maintain and develop OX2's counterparty credit risk framework, including exposure monitoring, risk ratings and trigger events

Advise on credit support structures such as letters of credit, parent company guarantees, escrow arrangements and other security mechanisms

Support project financing activities through credit analysis of commercial counterparties and project contracts

Monitor compliance with credit-related covenants within project finance facilities

Lead credit due diligence related to acquisitions, joint ventures and entry into new markets
Qualifications
We are looking for a commercially minded risk professional who combines strong analytical capabilities with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. You are a structured and analytical professional who enjoys creating order in complex environments. You combine strong commercial judgement with attention to detail and are comfortable working independently while building trust across a wide range of stakeholders.
We believe you have:

5-8 years of experience within Treasury, Risk Management, Project Finance, Structured Finance or a related discipline

Experience within infrastructure, energy, renewables, utilities or other asset-intensive industries

Hands-on experience managing insurance programmes for infrastructure or renewable energy assets

Experience with project finance insurance requirements and lender-related covenants

Strong credit analysis experience involving commercial counterparties and financial institutions

Experience working across multiple European markets and jurisdictions

Proven ability to manage external advisors, brokers and consulting partners

Preferred experience
-
Renewable energy development, independent power producer (IPP) or infrastructure investment experience

Exposure to construction all-risk and business interruption insurance structures

Understanding of project finance dynamics, including DSCR-driven lending structures
-
Experience with guarantees, letters of credit, surety bonds or other credit support instruments
-
Background from a Big 4 firm, infrastructure lender, energy insurer or specialist broker
